Beth Olson has been an advocate for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse for over twenty years. She has created many innovative programs including an in- home family service program for adjudicated youth re-entering the community, leading edge anonymous reporting procedures for sexual assault victims and a supervised visitation program that creates safety for battered mothers and their children experiencing post separation violence.

She has trained nationally on advocacy and has co-authored a manual on post separation violence and the role of visitation centers. As the Executive Director for First Witness, she prioritized the creation of an advocacy program built on the principles of social change advocacy and created a training curriculum for advocates in Child Advocacy Centers. She has a Master of Social Work degree and is an instructor at the College of St. Scholastica teaching two courses on sexual violence and advocacy.
